Indian singer Neha Kakkar found herself in hot water during her recent concert in Melbourne, Australia, after arriving three hours late. The delay left fans frustrated, with many booing her and some even shouting harsh comments like “Go back!” and “This isn’t India!”
The concert, scheduled to start at 7:30 PM, saw Neha take the stage around 10 PM, leaving the audience restless. The “Kaala Chashma” singer appeared to be visibly upset as she addressed the crowd, apologising for the delay while wiping away tears. However, the crowd was not having it as they called her a “drama queen” and booed her.
“I hate it when I make people wait. You’ve been so patient, and I am really sorry,” she said, her voice breaking. “You mean everything to me. I’ll never forget this night, and I’ll make sure you all have a good time.”
Despite her emotional apology, the crowd remained divided. While some fans appreciated her sincerity and stayed to enjoy the performance, others were less forgiving. One attendee posted a photo of Neha on stage, calling the concert a “waste of time and money.” Others accused her of “acting” and questioned her professionalism.
The incident quickly sparked debates online, with fans taking sides. Supporters defended Neha Kakkar, pointing out that delays can happen and praising her for addressing the issue directly. Critics, however, argued that the delay was disrespectful to the audience and that her apology didn’t make up for the long wait.
