Gul Panra is a well-respected transgender activist who was part of TransAction Pakistan, a group devoted to advocating for the rights of trans minorities of the country. Gul has been bravely fighting the injustice and mistreatment of transgender persons for years. The recent incident is a shocking and sad occurrence. According to reports, the trans right activist was shot six times at point-blank range. The nearby people called medical authorities and had Gul Panra rushed to Sherpao Hospital. However, Gul Panra lost her life on the way to the hospital, succumbing to her fatal wounds.
A police investigation is underway to apprehend the murderers.
