Nida Yasir and Yasir Nawaz Share Their Tips To Recover From COVID-19 [Video]

Sometimes, there’s no substitute for experience.

A few weeks back, morning show host Nida Yasir tested positive for COVID-19 along with her husband Yasir Nawaz and daughter Sila.

They practiced social distancing and tried connecting with their fans through social media to keep them updated about their health.

The family has now fully recovered from the virus and is trying to help others in how they can treat it at home by sharing their tips.

Nida Yasir hosted a special episode of Good Morning Pakistan where she invited health professionals and her husband to talk about the virus and how they treated it at home.

She is using her platform to share helpful tips for those who have contracted the virus and are trying their best to fight it.

It is worthy to note that these tips are not the cure for the COVID-19. Simply put, they are more like natural home remedies to subdue symptoms of coronavirus like cough and irregular bowel system.

Nida Yasir’s Tips To Treat COVID-19

1. Don’t go on a diet

You need to have a healthy body and immune system to fight off the virus but you don’t have to go on a diet to ‘become’ healthy. In fact, working out or doing any sort of high impact exercises can overstress your body and it won’t be able to do it’s primary job – fighting the virus.

2. Calming your mind and soul

We all know what the world is going through right now. However, we also need to focus on our own mental health. Watching news can be distressing at times and it can have a negative impact on your mental health while you are already down with the virus.

Yasir Nawaz says that listening to the Holy Quran helped him spiritually. He also said that he liked watching lighthearted comedy skits and films to feel positive. So folks, find things that you love listening to.

3. Avoid Cold Beverages

This one is a must and it will be really helpful in recovering from COVID-19. Cold beverages can worsen your coughs so make sure to avoid them at all costs. Nida said she would drink Senna leaves tea or ginger tea to help with the sore throat and upset bowel movement. Note: Doctors don’t recommend herbal teas to fight off coronavirus.

4. Consume Protein and Fruits

You should be consuming a healthy amount of proteins and fruits anyway but since your body needs all sorts of nutrients to fight the virus, you should be mindful of your daily intake during this time period. Along with that, you should also make sure to consume vitamins in order to strengthen your immune system.
