Nida Yasir Ignores All Coronavirus Safety Guidelines on Her Show [Video]

Good Morning Pakistan. It’s time to wake up!

Nida Yasir

Nida Yasir, a former Pakistani actress/model, is currently the host of a famous ARY Digital show Good Morning Pakistan. The host has gained the public’s love and attention through her hospitality on the show and the initiatives she took to help girls in need.

The show GMP, as the name suggests, is a morning show that touches on a wide variety of topics. From the latest on-goings to contests, the show even hosts real-life weddings!

It hasn’t been without its fair share of controversies though, and the latest one literally takes the cake.

Business As Usual

Nida Yasir and her team ignored all safety guidelines provided by the government and the doctors in the wake of the coronavirus scare. It seems like most of us are clueless about maintaining social distancing even though that is the ONLY way to maintain and control the novel virus’ spread.

On 16th March, Nida appeared on her morning show. Without wasting her time, she addressed the coronavirus panic that’s going around. She compared the on-going pandemic to the times of war and said that there’s always one person in a war, who is brave enough to be given the responsibility of entertaining the general public. She, of course, is the “hero” in this story. Regardless to say, we’re being sarcastic here.

While the studio audience was not allowed to attend the show both Kashif from Kashee’s and Nida were in close contact with eight contestants and eight models in the same episode she talked about coronavirus.

When will this end?

In a series of VERY unfortunate events, it was ‘business as usual’ on Nida Yasir’s show. The contestants and models were not only in close proximity to each other, but they were also being fed during the whole competition.

It gets worse. We had makeup artists who competed for the best makeup look, while models were ordered to chew gums. All this at a time when doctors say to avoid touching your face. Eek!

The grand prize of Rs. 200k and the opportunity to win Kashee’s makeup was enough to put the lives of everyone in jeopardy. While being forcefully fed, a contestant refused to eat more. She confessed that she’s had a cough and doesn’t want to eat anymore.

To add insult to injury, Nida Yasir laughed it off and jokingly said,

“You can put on a mask if you’re suffering from a cough.”

It was apparent that no protocol was maintained to ensure the safety of everyone present at the set. Lives of everyone present, and their families, was put in the arms of danger by the team of Good Morning Pakistan.

It’s about time that famous and influential celebrities take responsibility to not only practice safety themselves but also inform others to do the same. What kind of an example are they trying to set here?

This is quite painful to watch:
