Looks like The Legend of Maula Jatt release date is slated for Eid-ul-Fitr, again. This time around the producer Ammara Hikmat confirmed the news in an Instagram post.
Last time around given the film’s legal battle, the film’s trailer ended up becoming a battle of copyrights against two parties.

The reboot of the 80s Punjabi classic Maula Jatt is said to be the most expensive Pakistani production to date.

That is why the film was embroiled in a legal battle over copyrights violations. The producer of the original film Sarwar Bhatti filed a lawsuit against director Bilal Lashari and producer Ammara Hikmat.
Yet, the Waar director powered through this legal pursuit. Two years later, Sarwar Bhatti has finally gave them his blessings as the matter was resolved. We believe that the parties opted for an out-of-court settlement.
It’s been a long legal battle as the most anticipated Pakistani film of 2019 is geared for release in 2020.
Recently, even the producer was reminiscing about the pre-production of this film.
“Long before the shoot started, this was the first day we took @realhamzaaliabbasi and @mirzagoharrasheed to their riding lessons at the break of dawn. What a fun day it was!! P.S The release date is not too far and the official release date announcement is in few days inshallah. Any guesses?”
