Mark your calendars, because Nabeel Qureshi and Fizza Ali Meerza’s upcoming project features a star you wouldn’t want to miss.
Earlier this year, the duo announced the release of two new projects over the next year. The first, titled Quaid-e-Azam Zindabaad, is set to release on Eid ul Adha and will feature Fahad Mustafa and Mahira Khan as the male and female leads. The upcoming action-comedy film is the first time the two will appear alongside each other, and has created buzz all around.

However, it is the unofficial reveal of their second project’s lead which has everyone on their toes. The project, called Fatman, veers from the commercial, focusing on creating a dialogue around body shaming in our society. And the upcoming film is being said to feature none other than the multi-dimensional performer Ahmed Ali Butt as its lead.

Breaking conventions: an unsung hero
In an exclusive conversation, Fizza spoke of how the storyline will revolve around the dynamic between a father and his son and its complexities. Nabeel also commented that the project will be ‘a superhero film with a difference’, following an unconventional storyline and breaking stereotypes.
With its release this December, the film will be the first of ventures between Ahmed Ali Butt and Nabeel Qureshi. With the two having such impressive and successful ventures individually, people are excited to see what the collaboration will produce. Audiences are also anticipating how Ahmed Ali Butt, who is primarily a comedian, will adopt this role and execute the character.
Nabeel is positive about both projects, saying: “They’re both very unique stories which I’m sure the audience will enjoy”.
