Pakistani Celebrities Go To War Over Their Favorite City And Its Cute [Video]

Some celebs are mature enough not play the comparison game.

city war

Once again it’s time for a city war as folks from across Pakistan’s largest cities make inequitable comparisons (false analogies really). This time the city wars were started by none other than Pakistani celebrities. And it was actually pretty funny.

It all started when Islamabad’s own Imran Abbas was back in town. Given it’s monsoon season right now, the clean green city was lush as ever.

Imran Abbas for Islamabad

The Koi Chand Rakh actor posted a video on Instagram about the unique smell of Islamabad after rain. The smell of sweet greens and petrichor is something else really.

Since Imran brought up the monsoon rains, other celebs thought this called for a playfully civil yet funny city war. While Imran Abbas was just reminiscing about time in his hometown, other celebs were not passing up on a chance to start a city war.

Ahmed Ali Butt for Lahore

Ahmed asked Imran to visit Lahore to experience the unique smells from his city. He’s a comedian so maybe there’s a joke in here somewhere, right?

“My dear friend @imranabbas thinks Islamabad smells best… Whereas anyone knows #lahore ke baat he kuch aur hay. I love the smell of my city as it’s the best #smell of Pakistan. No offense Imran but you need to come to Lahore.”

Apples and oranges have no comparison. When will these people learn, and quit with the city wars?

No doubt that Lahore is delectable with its cuisine. On the other hand, Islamabad is one of the cleanest cities in the world (so yeah it does smell the best).

Yasir Hussain for Karachi

And then someone from Karachi decided it was time to step in. For once, Yasir Hussain had the most rational approach here. He cut to the chase that he loves Karachi, cause that’s where home is.

He then brought up how Ahmed Ali Butt and Imran Abbas visit Karachi for work all the time. He concluded his thoughts by saying ‘that’s just what I think of the city of lights‘.

“I love Karachi, I love Pakistan”

It’s good to see that even amid a city war, there are celebs mature enough to accept that each city has its own unique experiences to offer.

Meanwhile, we’re still waiting on someone to highlight what Peshawar has to offer. I’m sure someone is going to do just that.
