Tanhaiyaan actor Amir Hatmi has passed away. The veteran actor stole hearts with his moving performance in the cult classic drama serial. Now his passing has broken hearts of millions of fans.
Despite having a brief acting career, Amir Hatmi will forever be known as ‘Saad Salman’ of Tanhaiyan. He played the role opposite Shehnaz Sheikh’s ‘Zara’.
Journalist Fifi Haroon broke the sad news of his demise on Twitter. According to her, life hadn’t been the nice to him.
“A lovely guy with more than his fair share of life’s troubles. You will be missed Amir, RIP.”

Pakistan Television’s (PTV) 1986 drama serial Tanhaiyaan is a cult classic. The drama serial had a star cast of Shehnaz Sheikh, Badr Khalil, and Asif Raza Mir.

The drama follows the story of two orphaned sisters Zara and Sanya whose lives are changed forever following the death of their parents.
The protagonist Zara’s love interests include Asif Raza Mir’s ‘Zain‘ a warm-hearted man who offers all his love. And Amir Hatmi’s ‘Saad Salman‘ a tycoon who offers to conquer the world together.
