Despite persisting strained relations between Pakistan and India, many Pakistani celebs still managed to make it to the Filmfare Awards. The reason being it was actually the Filmfare Middle East Awards.
The event was held on October 28, 2021 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Filmfare Middle East was one of the biggest events featuring the best from both sides of the border after ages.
The star-studded event saw stars like Nawazuddun Siddiqui mingling with Pakistani A-listers like Sajal Aly and Ahad Raza Mir.
This celebrity couple made waves with their role in the Indian web series ‘Dhoop Ki Dewar‘. It sure did pay off as the Sammi actor took home an award.
Diyar-e-Dil actress Maya Ali also took home an award.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui was definitely a Bollywood favorite everyone kept bumping shoulders with.
As expected veterans like Faysal Quraishi, and Aijaz Aslam attended. As well as social media influencer Mathira. The salacious Rakhi Sawant was also there.
We even spotted what looks like Moor director Jami Azad.
Even celebs like British-Pakistani boxer Amir Khan and his wife Faryal Makhdoom attended the award show.
Meanwhile, Ayesha Omar donned a glass dress much like JLo’s Oscars 2019 dress.
