With all its celebrity weddings, 2019 has been an eventful year. There have been plenty of highlights throughout the year but since its currently ‘Shadi season’ let’s look back at all the monumental marriages in 2019.
Here is a list of Pakistani celebrities who said ‘Qabool hai’ to their significant other in 2019.
1. Hamza Ali Abbasi and Naimal Khawar
The most obvious one to make the list is Hamza Ali Abbasi and Naimal Khawar’s wedding. The wedding came as a pleasant surprise to the fans.
It gained more fame due to its simple yet intimate ceremony. The couple tied the knot in a Nikkah ceremony in the afternoon at Monal, Islamabad on August 25, 2019. This was followed by a wedding reception in Marriot Islamabad on August 27, 2019.
2. Imaan Aly and Babar Bhatti

This wedding rung the wedding bells this year on February 21, 2019. The model-cum-actress married Babar Bhatti, the nephew of Major Aziz Bhatti Shaheed. They hit it off with a grand dholki followed by a mehndi and Nikkah. Then wrapped it up with a Valima.

3. Sanam Chaudhry and Somee Chauhan

This one came as a surprise. The two were sharing bits of social media PDA for a year now but no one noticed. In fact, the actress was rumored to have married her best friend Noor Hassan. Just a month ago, Sanam Chaudhry and Somee Chauhan broke the news of their wedding on November, 27, 2019.

We got a heads up on this wedding because the Nikkah photographs surfaced days earlier. Zainab Abbas and Hamza Kardar’s wedding was held on November 30, 2019.
The sports journalist had her wedding in Lahore with famous sports personalities and celebrities making appearances. She made her entry to the wedding venue by holding a cricket bat, the sport which she is known for.
5. Mira Sethi and Bilal Siddiqui

This was a really warm wedding with Bilal and Mira Sethi. The couple had a small intimate ceremony in San Franciso, USA. They also had a grand reception in Lahore on November 18, 2019 for their family and friends.

The famous fashion designer wrapped it all up in one day. Ali Xeeshan married journalist Myrah Khan in Islamabad on November 11, 2019. The wedding venue was soft romantic with futuristic quirks. This couple gave everyone Shadi goals with all their candid moments. It’s like no one else existed.

Of course, this had to make to a list of memorable celebrity weddings. Film producer Imran Raza Kazmi got hitched in Islamabad. He married his beau in November. The Nikkah was followed by the main event that had Hareem Farooq, Ali Rehman, and Osman Khalid Butt as guests.
8. Imad Wasim and Samia Arzoo
Pakistani cricketer Hassan Ali married an Indian girl Samiya Arzoo on August, 20, 2019. The Haryana native is based in Dubai and the wedding was a grand affair in Atlantis.
News of Hassan Ali’s marriage went viral when his proposal was still in the initial stages and nothing was finalized. When the parents finally agreed, the two got hitched.
9. Imad Wasim and Sania Ishfaq
Shortly after Hasan Ali’s wedding, fellow cricketer Imad Wasim married his lady love Sania Ashfaq on August, 26, 2019. Imad Wasim married the British-Pakistani national.
The Nikkah ceremony was organized in Faisal Mosque on August 24, 2019. This was followed by a grand reception in Islamabad.

Naheed Shabbir and Nomi Khan got hitched in Karachi in August, 2019. This is both Naheed and Nomi’s second marriage. There was a lot of negativity hurled at the couple but they didn’t let it affect their happiness.

15. Danish Hayat and Faiza Ashfaq
This wedding was sweet and short, with just a Nikkah and a main event. Mehwish Hayat’s brother Danish Hayat married model Faiza Ashfaq on February 27, 2019. The couple didn’t splurge on the wedding but their wedding wear was designed by the famous Indian fashion designer Sabyasachi.
16. Faisal Sabzwari and Madiha Naqvi

His lady love keeps a low profile and is nowhere to be seen on Irfan Junejo’s social media handles.
19. Sham Idrees and Froggy
Canadian-Pakistani Youtubers Sham Idress and Seher AKA Froggy were ‘nikkahfied‘ in November, 2018. However, the official wedding reception and Ruksati was on July 22, 2019. The duo moved in together to their LA home.
