The internet is roaring up with congratulatory comments and funny memes about the casting of Humayun Saeed for the Netflix series The Crown. While everyone is brimming with pride over this big news, our veteran star Sakina Samo isn’t too pleased about the casting. Taking to her Twitter account, she criticized the makers of the series over their unfitting choice of actor to play Diana’s lover, the Pakistani surgeon Dr Hasnat.
Humayun Saeed will be the first Pakistani to be cast in the Netflix original. He will be seen alongside Australian actor Elizabeth Debicki who has been cast as Princess Diana. The veteran Pakistani actor-cum-filmmaker will be playing the role of surgeon Dr. Hasnat Ahmed. The Pakistani doctor was allegedly Lady Diana’s ‘true love’.
As soon as she posted her ‘rude’ statement about the Mere Pass Tum Ho star, the netizens came to his rescue. Many people stated that she is just jealous of the star for getting such a prominent role in the series. Along with various fans, celebrities are also supporting Humayun and condemning the Aseerzadi star’s proclamation.
Famous stars like Ahmed Ali Butt, Vasay Chaudhry, and Anoushey Ashraf took to their social media account and reacted to the Dobara star’s stance.

I admire Sakina Samo. She is an absolute star as an actor, but I am disappointed in her lack of generosity and pride in a fellow actor’s selection to play a Netflix role. Selectors must be credited also for some intelligence applied to the selection of Humayun Saeed. I am sure he will make a fine Dr. Hasnat.
