Zaheen Tahira, a PTV stalwart and renowned actress, has breathed her last on Tuesday, family sources have confirmed.
The Khuda Ki Basti actress suffered a heart attack last month and was on ventilator since then. Her family revealed that she was hospitalized for the past 2 weeks.

The actress first made her debut in dramas during the mid-1960s, quickly becoming one of the most sought after actresses of her time. She has starred in 700 dramas in almost 50 years.
In 2013, Zaheen Tahira was honored with the Tangha-e-Imtiaz by then-president Asif Ali Zardari owing to her work in Pakistani dramas.
It is a testament to her enduing legacy that many actors, actresses and others from the showbiz community came together to send their love and prayers, as news of her passing away spread around.
Zaheen Tahira will be deeply missed. She was 79.
