Hundreds of people came out on the streets of Karachi yesterday to show solidarity with the people of Palestine.

Hundreds of people came out on the streets of Karachi yesterday to show solidarity with the people of Palestine. Pakistani celebrities were also spotted at the peaceful protest held at Karachi Press Club, holding placards and chanting slogans.

Stars like Mahira Khan, Sheheryar Munawar, Anoushay Ashraf, Faysal Quraishi, Mansha Pasha, Ayesha Omar, Sanam Jung, Hajra Yamin and many others were seen raising their voice for the freedom of Palestine.

Along with the march, #freepalestine was also trending on social media. Locals as well as celebrities were seen holding posters with a clear message to end the Israeli apartheid in Palestine.

 

Wajahat Rauf shared a photo with his wife, Ali Rehman Khan and Hania Aamir and asked his followers to raise their voice in any way they can.

“Stop the violence now!”

 

Ayesha Omar also shared a series of photos and videos from the protest and wrote,

“Marching and protesting for Palestine and it’s people, today, in Karachi. For the innocent civilians and children being killed in the name of self-defence. For humanity. For the human rights being violated everyday. For the ethnic cleansing and oppression that the people of Palestine are facing. We pray that Palestine stands free one day….very very soon.”

In order to denounce Israel’s inhumane attacks in Palestine, Pakistanis are holding protests in various parts of the country. Hania Amir shared a schedule for the rallies on her social media so that people speak up and support the cause.
