After #FreePalestine protests swept the world over the weekend, Pakistan also staged demonstrations to show solidarity with the Palestinian people.
From activists to celebs, people gathered outside press clubs in Pakistan’s major cities. From crafty slogans to hard-hitting posters, people did not hold back.

The Struggle to #FreePalestine
The Palestinian issue is one of the oldest unresolved disputes in the world. Since 1948, the state of Israel has slowly occupied Palestinian territory ousting people from their homes. With barriers set up over the remaining territory, Israeli oppression of the Palestinians has continued for decades.
Despite several United Nations resolutions against Israeli occupation and the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians. This issue is politicised as an anti-Semitic ploy and an Arab-Israel issue. However, all Palestinians not just Muslims are prosecuted by Israeli forces. This includes Christians and Palestinians of non-Abrahamic faiths.
