Popular Pakistani TikToker Mr Patlo has reportedly been detained at Dubai International Airport during a layover on his way to Qatar.

Neither the UAE authorities nor Mr Patlo’s legal representatives have issued an official statement regarding the incident.

Unverified reports suggest that the detention may be linked to digitally manipulated videos targeting a female content creator and her family, allegedly created and circulated by some of Mr Patlo’s fans.

The alleged victim is said to have filed a complaint with local authorities, which may have prompted the detention of the Pakistani TikToker.

Mr Patlo was invited to the Doha event by fellow influencer Rajab Butt, who expressed shock and concern over the situation. “He didn’t want to come at first due to some licensing and meeting issues, but I convinced him—and within minutes, he agreed,” Rajab shared on social media.

Rajab condemned the misuse of technology, particularly the creation of AI-generated videos involving someone’s family members, and called for accountability in the digital space. “You made AI videos involving someone’s sister or daughter… and now Patlo is paying the price,” he said.

Expressing hope for a swift resolution, Rajab added, “InshaAllah, he’ll be out tomorrow. I believe everything will be fine.”

As of now, the details remain unconfirmed officially, and the situation continues to develop.
