Pakistani Twitter Reacts to Bill and Melinda Gates’ Split

Desi Twitter seems way too invested in this divorce

Bill and Melinda Gates are calling it quits after 27 years of marriage, and Pakistani Twitter is way too invested in this split. From talking about love to personal questions like dividing assets, tweets poured in.

The couple got married in Hawaii in 1994 after dating for years. They’re now parting ways after being married for 27 years. Of course, this is a difficult time for the couple and their family as they process the split.

Desi Twitter completely violates the couple’s request to ‘respect the family’s privacy’ to process this change.

“We ask for space and privacy for our family as we begin to navigate this new life.”

Pakistanis are definitely over-involved as #BillGates dominated Twitter.

Then there was the concern for finances. Let’s not overlook how Melinda French Gates founded Pivotal Ventures, an investment company focused on women and families, in 2015.

Then came the conspiracies.

Not to mention rumors of an affair. How people jumped to this conclusion is beyond me.

There was no shortage of inappropriate comments.

People even talked about what happiness in a relationship means. Bill and Melinda Gates met at work when she joined Microsoft as a product manager. Together they co-founded one of the world’s largest private charitable foundations, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Yet a divorce indicates despite being a good team their marriage was obviously lacking something.

At least some people had a sound approach to it all.
