Pakistani Tyrion Lannister just debuted in his first advert and the Internet lost it all over again. The Game of Thrones-themed commercial is for a food delivery app.
When the Peshawar based Tyrion Lannister doppelganger, Rozi Khan was first discovered no one really paid any thought to commercialize the whole thing.
The look-alike of American actor Peter Dinklage now basically essays the actor in an advert for a food delivery app.
Pakistani Tyrion Lannister
Tyrion Lannister is a character which gained fame from the famed HBO TV season Game of Thrones. Pakistan’s Rozi Khan gained fame due to his similarity to Peter Dinklage, the actor that essays the role.
While photographs of the doppelgangers surfaced earlier this year it wasn’t until he landed the advert that he made global headlines.
The food delivery app ‘Cheetay‘ that cast the 26-year-old fulled the advert with GoT references. Featuring Rozi Khan being bombarded by fans eager to take a selfie, get an autograph, or just simply ask about what happens in the next episode of GoT, mistaking him for Tyrion Lannister.
In one of his earlier interviews with Reuters, Rozi Khan said that he wanted to work in movies too. He also said that he’d like to meet his look-alike Peter Dinklage.
“My wish is to work in movies. And my other wish is that I should meet Peter Dinklage.”
Until a few months ago, Rozi Khan had not even heard of Peter Dinklage or Tyrion Lannister.
In the beginning, they started calling me Peter Dinklage. After that I saw his show, and then slowly, slowly I became famous.
The resemblance between the two is so uncanny they even have the same height. Both men are 4 feet 5 inches tall.
The eighth and final season of the wildly popular Game of Thrones concludes on May 19.
