Paris Fashion Week: Stella McCartney Brings Back the Low-Rise Trend

From loose-fit denim to vegetarian leather trousers from her 2023 sustainable collection, Stella McCartney was out to prove that low-rise waist is a fashion statement for any occasion.

High-waisted pants from Korean fashion took the world by storm a couple of years ago and have all the rage. However, it may not be the trend for long. Renowned fashion designer Stella McCartney revived the Y2K fashion staple this week through models Amber Valletta and sisters Gigi and Bella Hadid who rocked low-rise trousers from her collection on Day 8 of the Spring-Summer 2023 Paris Fashion Week.

In an interview with Vogue, the English designer explained that she is revisiting her roots by bringing back the low-rise trend.

She said, “I want to look back at my history and redefine where I started and where I am now and what the next Stella looks like. So, there were pieces from my past that were referenced”.

I always wear everything pretty much low-slung. I think it’s all about comfort, really, and I think one of the gifts of being a female designing for females – a woman designer, which, by the way, there are not enough of at the heads of houses, and it’s important to say that – I try on all the clothes when I fit.

She added, “It’s critical to me the difference between two mm and two cm and two inches. It’s life-changing,” and emphasized,

To me, that gives a clear message of being easy, effortless and sexy.

  1. NO please NO. It’s great if you’re a size 0-6 But not practical if you have a butt and plan on sitting in these pants crack exposure
