With the huge box office success of Pathaan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Yash Raj Films (YRF) is upping the ante with highly anticipated release of Salman Khan’s Tiger 3.
SRK and Salman are reportedly working together on a massive project titled ‘Pathaan vs. Tiger’ that will see the two Khans pitted against one another as part of the fabled YRF ‘Spy Universe’.
This will be first proper two-hero project for Shah Rukh and Salman Khan since 1995’s Karan Arjun.
According to a source, Aditya Chopra and writer Shridhar Raghavan are working on the epic project. “The plot of this epic two-hero crossover film featuring Tiger and Pathaan has been locked. The film will be the first proper two-hero collaboration for the two mighty Khans since the release of Karan Arjun in 1995.”
Tiger 3 is slated for a January 2024 release, and is reportedly a face-off between the two Bollywood giants. The project is dream of Bollywood fans worldwide who want to see the two action stars face-off, especially when Salman Khan’s character made a surprise cameo in SRK’s Pathaan.
This project is inspired by YRF’s vision to create an expanded universe much like the DCEU and the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in Hollywood. YRF’s Spy Universe is centered on a series of espionage action films, which feature various fictional RAW agents. The films include Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, and most recently Pathaan.
Unfortunately, we’ve yet to see Hrithik Roshan’s spy agent from War make his return. For now, fans simply ecstatic at the idea of Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan’s character face off in this mega project.
