There you go, folks, China bans another public figure over political opinions. This time around it was the world’s biggest independent YouTube content creator, PewDiePie.

While this doesn’t come as a surprise given Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg AKA PewDiePie’s polarizing statements. People don’t realize he’s just trying to get a laugh out of it, not a rile out of it.

PewDiePie Banned Again

Once India flagged one of his videos about Pakistan until he relented and cut that part out. Recently he was making fun of another political issue, the Hong Kong protests.

While talking about the issue PewDiePie shared a meme that compares the Chinese President Xi Jinping to ‘Winnie the Pooh’.

While acknowledging that he has been banned in China, the YouTuber found it funny. To share his sentiment, he ridiculed Bart Baker, a YouTube creator with quirky content that is renowned in China.

The reality is that China makes up a huge market for anything including content. Movies that tank in China don’t do so well at the global box office.
