Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Popularity Plummets After Netflix Documentary

Can these two do anything right?

A new poll suggests that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s popularity has taken a nose dive after the release of their Netflix documentary, Harry & Meghan.

YouGov, a British international Internet-based market research and data analytics firm, conducted a survey of 4,026 Britons on Tuesday and found that 14 percent of Britons have a negative view of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, after the three first episodes of their new documentary series dropped last week.

Only four percent saw the pair in a positive light, whereas under half (45 percent) of the respondents stated their opinion has not changed. This includes 34 percent who already did not like the couple and 11 percent who liked Harry and Meghan but have now changed their minds.

A YouGov poll that was taken between 7 and 8 December revealed that Harry’s popularity score among Britons had fallen to -26, which is his lowest score. One of the reasons behind his fall from grace with the public is his sly comments aimed at Prince William and King Charles. He had implied that they had not married for love but had picked a woman who they thought ‘fit the mold’.

Consequently, only 33 percent of the respondents had a positive view of him while 59 percent consider him negatively.

On the other hand, Meghan Markle’s net favorability dropped seven points as well to -39, as only 25 percent of the respondents had a positive view of her, while 64 percent disliked her.

There is some good news, though: the Sussexes are not the least popular British royals. The bad news is they’re the second worst royal family members after the controversial Prince Andrews. Yikes!
