PTV Breaks YouTube Viewership Records with Ertugrul Ghazi

Turkish television series Diriliş: Ertuğrul is making waves in Pakistan. Two weeks ago, the Urdu dubbed version of the show, aka Ertugurul Ghazi made its way on PTV’s YouTube channel. And now, it has already surpassed 1 million subscribers.

The success of this show on PTV’s social media page is nothing short of astronomical. With over 1.4 million subscribers and 60 million views, the drama is set to break the record of ‘most new subscribers in a month on YouTube.’

In a tweet, PTV shared the good news with the fans and encouraged them to subscribe to their YouTube channel so as to break the current record of 6.6 million subscribers in a month.

“TRT Ertugrul by PTV has crossed One million subscribers on YouTube. Now, it’s time to create history by reaching 6.6 million subscribers before May 25th 2020 and make the #ErtugrulYouTubeRecord. Come on #ErtugrulGhazi fans!”

Since then, Pakistanis have been trending the related hashtags in the country and are trying to set a new record.

Fans of Ertugrul Ghazi are not coming slow.

The makers of the show are overwhelmed with the far-reaching response from Pakistani viewers.

All in all, it seems that the show’s success has rubbed off on PTV, and in a good way. Perhaps this will spur the broadcaster into bringing more engaging content for its viewers.
