Who doesn’t love Scottish-Pakistani YouTuber Rahim Pardesi, AKA Nasreen, and Khalid? The social media star recently decided to withdraw from Hum Social Media awards show, and he has his reasons.
After the Pakistan International Screen Awards created a category for social media entertainers and influencers, Pakistani media conglomerate Hum Television Network created its own Social Media Media Awards.

However, despite being nominated for the awards show by Hum, the content creator decided not to attend it.
His fanbase was were ecstatic to see their favorite YouTuber nominated for an award in the Hum Social Media Awards. However, Rahim Pardesi decided to withdraw from the awards, saying that they are a rigged exercise.
In an Instagram post, he revealed that fans cannot be bought and he didn’t want to mislead the public by purchasing an accolade. The YouTuber wants to be appreciated for his content and his fans already bring him contentment in that regard.
“The thing is fans can’t be bought but they are made and this is why I have requested Hum Awards to take my name out of the nominations because I feel the person who is going to win, must win on the basis of the content. So if you have voted for me then thank you but these kind of award shows must not happen.”

When someone commented that Rahim was trying to gain sympathy votes, the content creator revealed how he was offered to buy the award which he was nominated for.
“I ain’t in the nominations coz I told Hum to take me out ages ago because they said it was ok to buy your way in on winning the award. Even if I won I will not accept the award. I just want someone deserving to win it who has great content .. and not win it by manipulating your fans.”

Rahim Pardesi’s fans are certainly lauding his move. Even Ducky Bhai fans agreed with the YouTuber. People questioned Pakistani YouTuber Ducky Bhai wasn’t nominated when his fame is quite obvious.
However, fans of other YouTubers nominated for the ‘Best Content Creator’ category bashed Rahim for calling out the award show for being rigged.
