It seems like South Indian movie star Rajinikanth is all set to enter the world of politics. The renowned actor plans on launching his own political party.

 

Indian politics take an intriguing turn as superstar Rajinikanth made the big announcement to become a political figure. And no, this is not some plot or promotion related to any upcoming film!

The legendary South Indian movie star said that he will announce his much-anticipated political party on December 31 as he plans on launching his campaign early next year.

There has been a lot of buzz regarding Rajinikanth starting his own political party not just in India but in Pakistan as well. We all are interested to know how this plays out.

 

The iconic actor made the announcement just a day after his meeting with senior office bearers of the forum, Rajini Makkal Mandram.

“District office bearers expressed their opinions. They have said they will agree to whatever decision I take. I will announce my decision as soon as possible,” the 69-year-old actor told reporters outside his home.

Early this year, Rajinikanth was in the news as he went on social media in October to clarify speculations of his political plans because of his health. These reports were fueled after a letter was leaked online indicating that his health is deteriorating.

The veteran actor was advised by doctors to restrict his movements as his kidney condition makes him more vulnerable to COVID-19. It remains to be seen whether he is fit to run his political campaign or not.
