Begone Plastic!

So how much plastic will they recycle with this fresh agenda? Ralph Lauren is committed to removing at least 170 million bottles from landfills and oceans by 2025. That’s a lot of polo shirts in the making.

The company said so after the Earth Polo announcement.

The youngest son of the company’s founder and its chief innovation officer, David Lauren revealed that Earth Polo is just the beginning. This is the first initiative as part of its broader strategy of fresh environmental goals. The idea is to go green throughout the manufacturing process they employ.

Meanwhile, the Earth Polo shirts are being manufactured in partnership with First Mile. First Mile is an organization that collects plastics bottles and turns them into yarn and ultimately fabric.
