Westridge police in Rawalpindi arrested a man for allegedly raping and sexually assaulting his 11-year-old sister-in-law. According to reports, he was caught red-handed by the girl’s mother.
Yesterday, a police spokesperson reported the case. The girl’s mother had stepped out of her house for some work. Upon returning she found her son-in-law sexually assaulting her 11-year-old daughter. Although the suspect fled the scene, she took to the local police station to file an FIR.
A medical examination had been conducted, which confirmed that the little girl was raped. And an FIR [first information report] was filed against the suspect. This led to his arrest in Rawalpindi.
Police will now take the case to the court, to obtain physical remand and match the DNA samples with those found on the 11-year-old.
No further details have been disclosed at this point by the Rawalpindi police.
