“Ready Steady No” Drops Its First Teaser And We Are Looking Forward to It

Please not another runaway bride film!!!

Ready Steady No
The first teaser of comedy film Ready Steady No just dropped. Given our first impressions of it, are we finally going to be treated to a comedy film with a good moral at its core?
While the title itself does drop hints on the theme of the movie (knowing when to say “No!”), the teaser provides us with more insight. We think that Ready Steady No may put a comedic spin on the issue of forced marriages.

Lets have a look at the teaser trailer for Ready Steady No:

Its more likely though that the script will take the easier route and follow a young couple desperately trying to get married.

Will there be a lot of drama around them tying the knot? Check.

Will they finally manage to get hitched? Guess that’s what we’ve got to find out.

Based on all the dancing around in the teaser and the hashtags shared under Ready Steady No Instagram posts, there’s definitely a wedding involved.

If we had to guess, there might be another instance of a bride running from a forced marriage. We hope it’s not another runaway bride story. Hareem Farooq’s Heer Maan Ja and Mehwish Hayat’s Chhalawa already has that covered for 2019.

2019 is shaping up to be a year of movies featuring runaway brides. Will the audiences be receptive to them?

About the Cast

Ready Steady No cast Amna Ilyas with Faisal Saif. The actor is one we haven’t seen before (recognize him from anywhere?). Other cast members include Salman Shahid, Faisal Saif, Marhoom Ahmad Bilal, Zain Afzal, Nargis Rasheed, and Ismail Tara.

We’ve got to admit that Amna Ilyas looks stunning in that blue sari though.

The film is being directed by Hisham Bin Munawar.

Ready Steady No release date is 18th, November.
