Even after several of her house staff tested positive for COVID-19, Bollywood veteran Rekha refused to get tested for the coronavirus. She’s taking the adage ‘ignorance is bliss’ quite literally.
Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) officials arrived at her Mumbai residence after many of her house help tested COVID-19 positive. Pinkvilla reports that the Muqadar Ka Sikandar starlet refused to let them in. She even refused to get tested herself.

According to reports, Rekha’s manager Farhana contacted the BMC staff when they reached the Umrao Jaan Ada star’s bungalow. Farhana gave the BMC officials Rekha’s number and asked them to call before following protocol at the legendary starlet’s abode.
Yet the Suhaag actress shut out the authorities. They weren’t permitted to sanitize anything outside her home.
BMC did manage to get the house staff to a COVID-19 facility for further treatment.
Later when officials reached out to Farhana, she reportedly said that Rekha was fine and is not willing to get tested because she had not come in contact with anyone.

On the other hand, Hindustan Times reported that the Dharam Karam actress did not want to get tested by the BMC officials and instead opted to get the test done herself. Rekha is supposed to submit the test results to the concerned authorities.
Are we looking at another irresponsible Bollywood samaritan like Kanika Kapoor? The singer had given authorities a hard time as well after she was quarantined in a medical facility. She was heavily bashed for her attitude.
