If you’re still trying to process Messi and Neymar as covert operatives in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, then Cristiano Ronaldo, aka CR7, as a fighter in Fatal Fury: City of Wolves is gonna blow your mind.
The legendary Portuguese superstar announced his arrival as a playable character in the iconic SNK fighting game on social media, sparking a ton of “WTF” reactions online.
He tweeted,
Big news to share with everyone today! I’m going to be a character in the new fighting game FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves! Let’s have some fun on April 24th!
Dressed in a Portugal national kit (complete with his iconic number 7 and captain’s armband) with a weird magical football and voiced by My Hero Academia‘s Juan Felipe Sierra, this playable Ronaldo looks nothing like the real CR7, but at least it’s not as bad as the nightmare-inducing statue we’d like to forget.
The teaser trailer showcases Ronaldo’s dynamic fighting style, which incorporates football moves like slide tackles, powerful kicks, and bicycle kicks that look inspired more from Shaolin Soccer then Ronaldo’s actual on-field skills.
To top it off, his trademark “Siuuu” celebration has been included as a victory pose, much to the delight of fans.

Whether you’re a die-hard Ronaldo fan or IShowSpeed, this Ronaldo-Fatal Fury crossover promises to deliver a thrilling experience. As Ronaldo himself said, “Let’s have some fun!”
