One of Pakistan’s leading actresses Saba Qamar has decided to take a dig at our nation’s new-found obsession or craze with the immensely popular Turkish series Diriliş: Ertuğrul. The talented starlet shared her two cents about the country’s love for the historical epic in a hilarious video on YouTube and Instagram.
The video featured the Hindi Medium starlet as she left fans convulsing with laughter with fun take on the situation. The actress’s parody of a news bulletin aimed at our awaam’s craze over the Turkish series is definitely worth checking out!

“The Prime Minister had suggested the airing of Ertuğrul to wake up our snoozing public so they could learn a thing or two but he forgot that this country was born intelligent,” she says in the video.

The craze over the Turkish series has reached new heights in Pakistan, breaking all records and already has sparked a new debate amongst Pakistani stars about the promotion of international instead of local content on national television.
Ertuğrul is currently being aired by PTV in Urdu dubbing on the directives of Prime Minister Imran Khan whose aim was to instill Islamic values in the public and help them get familiar with its history.
