Veteran actor Sajid Hasan has come under fire for defending his son, Sahir Hasan, who was recently arrested in connection with the Mustafa Amir murder case and serious drug-related offenses.
The actor’s public support for his son has sparked widespread outrage, with many accusing him of attempting to shield Sahir from the legal consequences of his actions.
According to the Special Investigation Unit (SIU), Sahir Hasan was arrested in Defence Phase 6, Khayaban-e-Rahat, for possession of narcotics. Investigators revealed that Sahir had been involved in drug dealing for the past two years, supplying narcotics to affluent areas of the city.
During police interrogation, Sahir reportedly made shocking confessions, admitting that he procured drugs from suppliers identified as Basel and Yahya. He also disclosed that he had been supplying drugs to Armaghan, a key figure in the Mustafa Amir murder case.
Following his arrest, a formal narcotics case was registered against Sahir, and investigations into his alleged involvement in the murder case are ongoing.
The controversy escalated when a video of Sajid Hasan with his son went viral on social media. In the video, Sajid appeared to support Sahir, rather than expressing remorse or condemning his actions. This perceived lack of accountability has drawn sharp criticism from the public, with many accusing the actor of enabling his son’s behavior.
Social media platforms were flooded with comments condemning Sajid Hasan’s stance.
One user wrote: “They are posing in the middle of a criminal proceeding??? He seems to be a proud father, and the son seems to be proud of whatever he has done.”
Another user criticized Sajid’s parenting, stating: “Instead of encouraging him, you should be ashamed that you failed to raise your children properly.”
