After becoming a fan favorite back in 2016, we are getting a Sang-e-Mar Mar season 2! Word is that a sequel is in the works.
Sang-e-Mar Mar cast Nauman Ijaz, Sania Saeed, Kubra Khan, Mikaal Zulfiqar, and Omair Rana in central roles. This drama serial also introduced us to the acting prodigy that is Paras Masroor.
So will we pick up the story where season one left off? Or are we getting a spin-off series?

According to the director Saife Hassan, a sequel to the drama serial is in the pipeline. He revealed that the story is actually divided into a trilogy. The sequel drama is titled ‘Sang-e-Mah‘.
Meanwhile, we can also hopefully look forward to the third season titled ‘Sang-e- Siyah‘.
Saife Hassan shared that the Sang-e-Mah cast Nauman Ijaz, Kubra Khan, and Sania Saeed will reprise their roles as Gulistan Khan, Shameem, and Shireen
It will again be a story of a Pathan family. Saife Hassan revealed that the drama will have a different storyline, different characters but the actors will be the same.
About Sang-e-Mar Mar
Directed by Saife Hassan Sang-e-Mar Mar was the drama adaptation of a book authored by Usama Rehman Mani. The drama serial followed various arcs surrounding the family members of Gulistan Khan (Nauman Ijaz) and his sons.

The central story remains that of Shireen (Kubra Khan) and her childhood friend Aurang (Mikaal Zulfiqar). She is in love with her childhood friend and wishes she could marry him but the traditions and customs of Swat steer them towards a life of dissonance.
They are torn between doing the right thing and self-determination and following the customs of their region in order to avoid conflict and in Shireen’s case persecution.
