When it comes to hurling abuse and oppressing members of the opposite sex, some internet warriors are content with sitting behind their screens and keyboards to do just that. We have seen it time and again. Only this time, one Pakistani celebrity decided to fight back against these armchair trolls. Sarwat Gillani took no prisoners with her response to them.
The lead actress of “Naulakha,” and mother of two children (Rohan & Araiz), Sarwat recently came under the bus for posting intimate and lovey-dovey pictures with her husband (Fahad Mirza). She was attacked by trolls but decided that she could not hold back anymore.
Before we get to see how she handled these bullies, let’s take a look at the pictures that riled up trolls.
Here we have a husband and his wife being chummy and cute together. Ok, its not hard to guess why certain folks could get offended by this.
So why the anger and hate? Perhaps this has to do with the preconceived notion that women are supposed to be nothing more than child-bearing cows, and that husbands can cheat on them, torture and abuse them at will?
A better way of looking at this could be, is this really something worth to be outraged over?

Sarwat took to Instagram to express that she could not care less about what narrow-minded people have to say about her pictures, giving them the simplest solution – unfollow her on social media if you hate her.

This did not end the backlash though. Her shut-up call brought supporters and haters alike, and our superstar showed them what’s what too…
You guys do things for public attention and when people react you are offended👏. Either keep your love life a secret or get ready for all the bashing. If you have the right to do anything in public then we have the right to comment in public platforms. So relax 🙄 @sarwatgilani

Sarwat Gilani has done more for our right of freedom of expression than our human rights minister has in the past 2 years.

Sarwat’s shut-up call is meant for people poking their nose where it does not belong. In an ideal world, a couple has every right to share what they want, talk about what they want and do what they want. One thinks if these keyboard warriors have nothing else going on in their lives than just troll people over ‘morals.’
