Saudi Prince Gifts Custom Jersey to Legendary Wasim Akram

The ‘Sultan of Swing’ visited Riyadh to discuss the future Saudi cricket.

Pakistani cricket legend, Wasim Akram met the Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation Chairman, Prince Saud bin Mishal Al-Saud in Riyadh.

Cristiano Ronaldo isn’t the only mega sports star in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as cricket’s ‘Sultan of Swing’ made his presence felt. Wasim Akram had a meeting to discuss the future of Saudi cricket. He was gifted a custom-made jersey. The legendary cricketer thanked the Saudi prince for the gift and expressed his excitement for the upcoming Saudi league.

Wasim Akram shared the picture on social media. He wrote:

What a trip to Riyadh had a great meeting with Prince Saud bin Mishal Al-Saud talked about cricket in Saudi Arabia and so looking forward to start a Saudi league Insha’Allah very soon.

Last week, Javed Afridi met with Mishal Al-Saud during his visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), where he also presented him with a Peshawar Zalmi shirt. During the meeting, both officials discussed the promotion of cricket in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and agreed to work together to strengthen cricketing relations between the two countries.

According to reports, the popular Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise is set to play a friendly match against Saudi Arabia.

Wasim Akram is a famous Pakistani cricket commentator, coach, and former cricketer. The ‘Sultan of Swing’ is regarded by several critics as one of the greatest left-arm fast bowlers in cricketing history.
