Education is one of the most important things that we need to consider in our lives. Generally, we come across situations where people grade others on the basis of how well-educated they are.
While most educated people pursue a career in whatever they are qualified, be it in business, medicine or others, however some of us choose otherwise. You can say that educational qualifications notwithstanding, some people decide to choose their passion.
While tracing the career graphs of some top Pakistani celebrity couples, I was pleasantly surprised to see their educational qualifications.
Here’s a look at seven highly educated Pakistani celebrity couples.

1. Shehzad Sheikh and Hina Mir
Shehzad Sheikh and Hina Mir chose each other as life partners on 28th of December, 2012.
Shehzad Sheikh is very well known for playing the lead role in the film Karachi Se Lahore. He also starred in the television drama series Choti Si Zindagi and Qurban. He is the son of well-known actor Javed Sheikh.
As for their educational qualifications:
- Shahzad Sheikh completed his education in Karachi and went to do a one year course of acting from the New York Film Academy.
- Hina Mir holds an MMBS in law and she is a professional lawyer.
2. Sheheryar Munawar and Dr. Hala Soomro
Sheheryar Munawar and Dr. Hala Soomro got engaged in a private ceremony in March 2019.
Sheheryar Munawar is well known for for his blockbuster performances in “Ho Mann Jahan” and “Mere Dard Ko Jo Zuban Milay” and is also playing a lead role in his upcoming film “Parey Hutt Love”.
- Sheheryar completed his A-levels from Southshore School and went on to complete his Bachelors degree in Finance from Institute of Business Administration, Karachi.
- Dr. Hala Soomro holds an MBBS degree from Ziauddin University, Karachi.
3. Mira Sethi and Bilal
Mira Sethi is a writer and actress and is well known for playing the lead role in the television drama series Silvatein and Muhabbat Subh Ka Sitara Ha. She is the daughter on Najam Sethi and sister of famous singer Ali Sethi.
Bilal has been a family friend of the Sethis for a long time. The pair met in Oxford University again in 2008.
Academically speaking:
- Miran Sethi holds a graduation degree from Wellesley College and spent a junior year abroad at Oxford University.
- Bilal has also studied in Oxford University.
4. Yasra Rizvi and Abdul Hadi
Yasra Rizvi and Abdul Hadi got married in 30 December 2016.
Yasra Rizvi is an actor, writer and director. She is well known for playing the lead role in the television drama series Manchahi and Ustani Jee. Abdul is 10 years younger than her, but then again, there’s no stopping true love.
For their academic qualifications:
- Yasra Rizvi holds a Master’s degree in Mass Communication from University of Leicester, UK. Additionally she has a BBA in Human Resource Management from Michigan University, USA.
- Abdul is a drama producer and also an MBA.
5. Ayesha Khan and Uqbah Hadeed Malik
Ayesha Khan and Uqbah Hadeed Malik married each other on April 2018.
The Mann Mayal star took to Instagram and announced her departure from the Pakistani entertainment industry, leaving everyone shocked. Ayesha Khan is also very famous for playing a role in the film “Waar”.
The couple holds some diverse academic qualifications:
- Ayesha Khan has done her Masters Degree from Toronto, Canada.
- Major Uqbah Malik has served the Pak Army. He’s the first Pakistani instructor to serve at the world-famous Royal Military College at Sandhurst.

6. Hira Mani and Salman Sheikh
Hira and Salman Sheikh (Mani) got married in 2008.
Both Hira Mani and Salman Sheikh are accomplished Pakistani actors and have worked in many TV serials.
For their educational qualifications:
- Salman Sheikh holds a graduation degree from National College of Arts.
- Hira Mani completed her graduation after marriage in Karachi.
7. Ali Safina and Hira Tareen
Actors Ali Safina and Hira Tareen got engaged on April 25th 2013. They got married a few months after, in December 2013.
Ali Safina is known for his lead roles in the Suno Chanda and Romeo Weds Heer. He is also the owner of FM 96 radio channel.
On the other hand Hira Tareen is also famous for playing lead roles in Khuda Mera Bhi Ha and Mohabbat Subh Ka Sitara Ha. She started her career in showbiz as a model in 2001, graduating to acting in the later years. She owns the ICON Karachi Clothing Brand as well.
The couple were blessed with a baby girl on 18th Dec 2017. Interestingly, Ali Safina’s birthday also falls on the same day.
As for their educational qualifications:
- Hira has completed her Bachelors of Arts, Communication and Advertising from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2005.Texas was her hometown as well.
- Ali Safina holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Scotland University, Glasgow.
These are by no means the only Pakistani Celebrity Couples with good academic qualifications. However, they are some of the most well-known.
