Lollywood star Shaan Shahid has called out Faisal Qureshi for his lack of experience in movie direction.
This comes after Faisal’s directorial debut for the recently released film Money Back Guarantee, starring Fawad Khan in the lead role.
Shaan Shahid compared Faisal’s directorial debut to his popular commercials for ‘Ufone’, stating that commercials are only 45 seconds long and are much simpler than filmmaking.
The Waar star indirectly mocked Qureshi and went on to say,
Producers should be held responsible for getting directors who have no experience when it comes to films.
It remains to be seen how Faisal Qureshi will respond to Shaan Shahid’s criticism.
Money Back Guarantee is an action-comedy that was written and directed by Faisal Qureshi. The film features an ensemble cast including Fawad Khan, Hina Dilpazir, Ali Safina, Wasim Akram, Shayan Khan, Mikaal Zulfiqar, Gohar Rasheed, and Jan Rambo.
Set in a fictional bank called Pak Bank, which houses the wealth of corrupt politicians in Pakistan, the film explores the dichotomy of capitalism and socialism while touching on various social issues such as corruption, VIP culture, stereotyping, theft, political point-scoring, injustice, and discrimination.
Qureshi’s debut as a feature film director has received mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike. While some praised the film’s unique storyline and entertaining performances, others criticized the film’s direction and screenplay.

I think one failed project is first step to the success. Faisal Qureshi is one of the most creative persons I’ve ever seen in my life. He’s multi talented and many people aren’t aware of his work, He’ll get along.
Sir, with due respect, What about the pile of flop films created by so called professional film directors, in which you acted as THE SAME kind of person as in hundred previous films? You should also focus on something else because you always look the same, same style of dialogue delivery, same action scenes.
With Waseem Akram in the film, surely a failiure. No satta, no interest.
I think we must encourage people who try to play a part in our film industry which needs new ideas, and new blood so the negative remarks from Mr Shan Shahid about film writer and producer are very shocking to me as I am also one of the victims of a traditional film writer whom I handed over my own film but it was not released with my name so I never written any film thereafter despite the fact that film was a big hit and one of our supporters played a key role but since I got demotivated in my first attempt by conventional writer who used to sit in Avernew studio so my this talent got wasted so it’s very important to encourage new people in this industry
Rome was not built in a day .all issues in film are real time problem .all failures lead to success until you got the belief in yourself .
I suggest Shan must see his first few films and then he may realize that his acting in the start was not to the mark. I don’t expect such remarks from a film star like Shan who fully understand how much effort and what heart it takes to make a film. I think it’s a good effort by Faisal Qureshi.
