Shafqat Mahmood Gains 500k New Followers On Twitter

Shafqat Mehmood is growing popular on social media. The Federal Education Minister has gotten over 500k followers on Twitter during the last six to eight months. In a recent Q&A session, Shafqat Mahmood spoke about PTI’s vision to end class difference as well as online exams, single national curriculum, national policy, EdTech and more.

Recently, Shafqat Mahmood has become somewhat of a hero for students nationwide. His followers on Twitter have grown to 2.2 million! In just six to eight months, the Federal Education Minister has seen a surge in new young followers. Young students appreciate how active he has been about updating students on various policies during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I am happy that we have developed some sort of connection with students,” Shafqat Mehmood said. “When I tweet, a lot of students see and read that. I think that is a good thing that a federal education minister of the country has a direct connection. And I don’t think that any such thing has happened in recent history.”

The Federal Education Minister is happy to help out young students and is appreciative of their support. He, however, urged students to not take virtual exams lightly as they are not ‘easy exams’.
