Its no secret that Bollywood King Shah Rukh Khan has hit a bit of a rough patch during the last few years. His most recent film Zero was a spectacular flop, prompting the superstar Khan to take a backseat from his acting career.
Rumors had been swirling around that Shah Rukh Khan might appear next in Rakesh Sharma’s Saare Jahaan Se Acha, but now the actor has gone on record. He says he wont be working in films for now.

What He Said
During his interview with Filmfare, here’s what he said:
“I have no film with me right now. I am not working on any film. Usually what happens is when your one film is coming to an end, you begin work on your next film and I get involved within three to four months.
But this time I am just not feeling like it. My heart doesn’t allow me to… I just felt that I should rather take time out, watch films, listen to stories and read more books.”
Shah Rukh Khan Wants to Spend Time Unwinding
To sum it up, the actor wants to spend more time with his family and keep himself busy with the other things in his life. That downtime might be a good idea, as his children are stepping into the next phase of their life.
Shah Rukh Khan revealed that his daughter Suhana Khan is going to college. His eldest son is finishing the final semester of his university.
Given these moments, its not a surprise that Shah Rukh is thinking to bring about a change in his working attitude. He is however, working on his production ventures.
Shah Rukh Khan recently announced that he and his son Aryan will be voicing The Lion King’s main characters in their Hindi version.
