Former Pakistan all-rounder, Shahid Afridi, celebrated his wedding anniversary on Friday with a heartfelt note to his wife, Nadia Afridi.
Boom Boom Afridi shared a throwback picture of himself with his wife from their visit to the Northern Area as the couple take in the breathtaking scenery.
Afridi wrote,
My lovely wife, thank you for being the perfect better half. Extremely grateful for you – thank you for bringing all the love, joy, warmth & laughter in our home. You will always be the best thing that has ever happened to me. Love you!
Shahid Khan Afridi, or Lala as fans lovingly call him, is regarded as one of the most loved cricketers in the world. He has retired from all forms of cricket and currently runs his welfare trust, the Shahid Afridi Foundation (SAF).
Afridi tied the knot to his maternal cousin Nadia in 2000. The couple has five daughters: Aqsa, Ansha, Ajwa, Asmara, and Arwa. The eldest daughter is engaged to marry Pakistani cricketer Shaheen Shah Afridi, who is currently in Melbourne, Australia for the 2022 ICC T20i World Cup. Pakistan is set to face arch-rival India this Sunday at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
