She wants people to be careful

Alarmed by how traffic and streets are jammed as people hit the markets without following safety precautions, Shaniera said;

“I wish for once, people would stop saying ‘but this is Pakistan‘ and stop acting as though we don’t matter and start to take some responsibility.”

She wants us to do better and be better, for our own sake and for the country. Further explaining the risk this merry-making pre-Eid shopping presents, and how much worse it can get if we keep this up through Eid.

Stressing the importance of social distancing and being careful, she urged everyone to stay at home during Eid, not just to protect ourselves but also our families.

“Anyone with a challenged immune system cannot risk celebrating Eid with anyone other than who they are quarantined with, … If the people they are quarantined with go out and meet people, they are the ones likely to contract the virus and bring it home. Be smart everyone, stay home!”

Shaniera explained how a compromised immune system can be easily overlooked as asthma and anemia.
