Shaniera Akram Urges Everyone To Marry During The Pandemic and Save Money

Do you agree with her?

Shaniera Akram

Wife of former cricketer Wasim Akram, Shaniera has been an inspiration for many. Shaniera Akram was a social worker in Australia, who now lives with her husband in Pakistan. A contributing member of the society, the 37-year-old has set high expectations, especially for women in the country. Recently, she took to her social media to explain why the pandemic is a perfect time to tie the knot.

The mother of 3 is often seen helping members of the society, and working for the betterment of Pakistan. One of the biggest initiatives that Shaniera undertook include the beach cleanup drive. Many students, teachers, family members, and friends have helped her with social work.

Apart from all the fieldwork, she also takes to her social media accounts to inspire the youth of our country. Shaniera Akram has proven to be a woman of high moral values- a couple of days ago she took to her Twitter account to urge everyone to marry during the pandemic.

Shaniera says she knows how big the wedding culture is in the country, but there is nothing wrong with intimate events. Taking a dig at people who think big weddings are a must, she further consoled everyone and said they will survive.

I understand that in the past big weddings were a thing. But we are mid pandemic, why not take the opportunity & use this time to your advantage, keep it small, save lives & save some money.People will understand I promise.I had a very small wedding,Its ok,We survived, You will too!

We have seen many intimate wedding ceremonies including those of big-name celebrities like Sajal Aly & Ahad Raza Mir, Hina Altaf & Agha Ali, and Shehroz Sabzwari & Sadaf Kanwal. We think Shaniera Akram has a point: perhaps we can survive smaller weddings.

  1. Fully agree! Weddings are made so expensive that those who cant afford let go the idea of getting their children married just to stay at par with society
