Another Pakistani actress revealed that she turned down a role in a Bollywood movie. Sidra Batool shared that she was offered the role of ‘Datto’ in Tanu Weds Manu Returns.

In an interview with Current.pk, Batool revealed that she was approached by mainstream directors offering her leading roles in A-list Bollywood movies. That development came due to Pakistani dramas playing on the Indian television channel Zee Zindagi.

These offers included the role of ‘Datto‘ in Tanu Weds Manu Returns. However, she turned down the role, something she regrets doing.

Her reasons? Her mother wouldn’t allow her. While she regrets not taking up the offer, her mother has promised to be more accomodating if she’s offered another Bollywood movie. Especially if it’s a Tanu Weds Manu Returns sequel.

The opportunity would have included a three-month language course aside from physical training since Datto is a Haryanvi athlete.

We could have seen the Parvarish actress in Anand L Rai’s film opposite R Madhavan and Kangana Ranaut. Later Kangana Ranaut played a double role in the film and portrayed Datto.

Sidra Batool bagged a nomination for ‘Best Actress’ for her performance in Hum TV’s Ishq Humari Galliyon Mein back in 2014.
