The Pakistani government stepped up to help one of its legendary artists in times of need as folk singer Shaukat Ali is getting a much-needed liver transplant. All medical treatment and expenses are being arranged on the orders of the Sindh Chief Minister.
Legendary Folk Singer Shaukat Ali Gets Medical Help
The respected and renowned folk singer Shaukat Ali has received a much-needed medical attention and a liver transplant after the Sindh government came to artist’s aide following reports that the veteran musician had been struggling with his treatment and medical expenses.

Shaukat Ali is a legend of the industry who is most famous for the patriotic songs he sang during the 1965 and 1971 wars. Such classics included “Saathion Mujahidon Jaag Utha Hai Sara Watan”, “Mera Puttar Pakistan Da”, and “Apna Quaid Aik Hai” to name a few.
The ghazal maestro is regarded as one of the most prolific music artists from the Pakistani music industry as his singing career spans around five decades. He was even awarded with the Pride of Performance award.

After discovering that he had been struggling with his poor health and treatment, the Sindh government came to his aide. In a tweet, Sindh representative Murtaza Wahab responded to Twitteratis lauding the government for its gesture, stating that it is the government’s duty to continue serving all Pakistanis.
“Thank you for the tweet. It is our duty to serve people and the health initiatives of the Sindh government continue to serve all Pakistanis,” Wahab wrote on Twitter.
According to reports, Shaukat Ali has been admitted to the Gambat Institute of Medical Sciences, Khairpur for treatment of a liver infection. The treatment has been arranged on the directions of the Sindh chief minister.
