Singer Ali Noor Gets Hospitalized with Hepatitis A

Brother Ali Hamza says that prayers are all they need.

Singer Ali Noor has been hospitalized due to Hepatitis A. Fans found out when Noori’s Facebook page posted an urgent request for blood donations and a liver transplant in Islamabad.

“Need a Liver Donor for Ali Noor in the next 48 hours. Blood groups..Only B +ve, B -ve, O +ve O -ve. In Islamabad…please it’s urgent!”

An Appeal for Help

This request however was not geared towards his fans but family only. Given the nature of Ali Noor’s ailment, a family member could be required to donate their liver. As his brother Ali Hamza later clarified:

“THERE IS NO NEED FOR A BLOOD DONOR, AND THE ONLY LIVER DONOR IF NEED BE WOULD BE A FAMILY MEMBER!”

Based on the post on the official page Ali Noor can only accept a liver donation from a family member, as per local law.

Ali Hamza sounds upbeat though. He says that it might not even come to that at all.

“As for needing a liver donor, the doctors are saying that we do need to have people on standby, but they can only be family members – our local law does not allow outside of family donors.”

Ali Noor, who is the second half of Noori the band, thanked fans for their prayers. Going on to extend the family’s love and respect.

Despite Ali Hamza clearing the air, some overeager fans and conscientious human beings are still trying to arrange for a liver donor.

Ali Noor’s family and friends confirmed that the musician was admitted at a private hospital in Islamabad. He’s in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital.
