The world of entertainment has created a friendly bridge between Pakistan and India, with incredible talent crossovers over the decades. The latest Pakistani celebrity who is creating a buzz in the Indian entertainment industry is Sohail Ahmed who has something exciting up his sleeve.
The Hasb-e-Haal comedian is working on an Indo-Pak Punjabi movie titled Babe Bhangra Paunde Ne in which he plays the lead role alongside Diljit Dosanjh and Sargun Mehta.
Ahmed is trying to strengthen Indo-Pak ties, and the trailer of the movie indicates that the cast seems promising and committed to the effort.
The trailer has just been released and it making waves on social media as well as across the border. Fans are loving it and now have high hopes for the film.
The story is a family comedy that revolves around a scheme that Dosanjh’s character devises with his friends to get money from an insurance policy that involves adopting a father.
While in conversation with a local publication, Sohail Ahmed stated,
Babe Bhangra Paunde Ne is my first Punjabi film, it’s an Indo-Pak Canadian film with comedy as a genre. There is a contribution of two Pakistanis in this movie. I have worked on the movie while Hammad Chaudhry is the executive producer of the film. The overall experience of working on an international project is very exciting.
Directed by Amarjit Singh Saron, the film is slated to be released worldwide on 5 October and will also be screened in Pakistani theatres.
