The title of TV series is ‘Proliferation’ and will be based after two optioning non-fiction books about Abdul Khan – “The Nuclear Jihadist: The True Story of the Man Who Sold the World’s Most Dangerous Secrets…and How We Could Have Stopped Him” and “Fallout: The True Story of the CIA’s Secret War on Nuclear Trafficking”.

When asked about the project, Co-Founder and Managing Director for ‘Proliferation’, Femke Wolting had this to say:

“While Abdul Khan’s life and story may be in the past, it could not be more relevant today. The political landscape we exist in was profoundly shaped by the proliferation that Khan unleashed, and this story is a cautionary tale of how isolated conflicts between nations can spill out on an international scale.”

The Man Behind The Nuclear Bomb

Based on the books, the story revolves around the Abdul Khan’s past as it tells the tale of a seemingly ordinary engineer from Pakistan who not only developed the country’s nuclear bomb but become a major player in the distribution and spread of nuclear weapon plans to Iran, Libya and North Korea during the 90s.

The series will be a spy thriller, depicting the story of nuclear trafficking group that span over Europe, Middle East and the United States.

The producers of ‘Undone’ are looking to develop a Homeland-style terrorism thriller. Femke Wolting is in talks with writers and is hopeful of taking the project to different global streaming services, international networks and US broadcasters by next year.
