Star-Studded Cast Unveiled for Netflix’s First Pakistan-Themed Original

The upcoming project will be produced by Momina Duraid Films FZ – LLC.

Netflix has announced its first-ever Pakistan-themed original series titled Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo, and it features a star-studded lineup including Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Sanam Saeed, and Ahad Raza Mir.

The ensemble cast is equally impressive, featuring Hamza Ali Abbasi, Bilal Ashraf, Maya Ali, Iqra Aziz, Hania Aamir, Khushaal Khan, Nadia Jamil, Omair Rana, and Samina Ahmed.

While an official streaming date has not been disclosed, the anticipation is palpable among fans eagerly awaiting this groundbreaking series.

Based on Farhat Ishtiaq’s bestselling 2013 novel of the same name, the series follows the story of Sikandar, a Harvard law student whose life takes a transformative turn after a significant event leads him to distance himself from others.

He crosses paths with Liza, a gifted artist with a troubled past but a vibrant spirit. The two characters meet in Italy, setting the stage for a tale of emotions and connections.

Reuniting on-screen are the three star of Punjabi blockbuster The Legend of Maula Jatt. Joining them is Sanam Saeed, known for her role in the Zindagi series Barzakh alongside Ahad Raza Mir, recognized for his part in Netflix’s series Resident Evil and his breakout performance in the BBC’s World on Fire.

Production is led by Dubai-based Momina Duraid Films FZ – LLC, with Momina Duraid herself serving as the showrunner. This collaboration between Pakistani talent and international production promises an enriching viewing experience. The series will be filmed in various locations, including Italy, the U.K., and Pakistan.

The project also marks Farhat Ishtiaq’s return to the screen, known for adapting her own novels for television, including the popular Humsafar, Matae Jaan Hai Tu, and Bin Roye.

As Netflix continues to invest in global content, Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo adds to the growing list of diverse and culturally rich stories available to its subscribers.
