Taylor Swift to Direct Her First Feature Film

She has already written a script for it.

Pop star Taylor Swift is set to make her directorial debut with a feature-length film.

The singer-songwriter behind hits like Shake It Off and Anti-Hero has already written a script for the film that will be produced by Searchlight Pictures.

Searchlight Pictures’ presidents, David Greenbaum and Matthew Greenfield, said,

Taylor is a once in a generation artist and storyteller. It is a genuine joy and privilege to collaborate with her as she embarks on this exciting and new creative journey.

Details such as the plot, casting, and script of the upcoming feature film are currently under wraps.

The upcoming film isn’t the first rodeo in filmmaking for Taylor Swift. She wrote and directed a 15-minute-long short film titled All Too Well last year, which also served as the music video for the re-recorded and expanded version of her 2022 hit single. The former country singer has also worked behind the scenes for several of her music videos.

A Nashville, Tennessee girl (born in Readings, Pennsylvania), Taylor Swift is considered to be one of the most successful music artists of the last few decades. She has won 11 Grammy awards, and is the only solo artist to win two best direction awards for her music videos at the MTV Music Video Awards.

She released her tenth studio album, Midnights, in October to critical acclaim.

Even the Pakistani political party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) is a Swifty as it celebrated the 70th birthday of its leader, Imran Khan, with a tribute video featuring her song Long Live in October.
