Billie Eilish posted a song on SoundCloud in 2016, for her dance teacher alone. Little did she know what could happen next when she woke up the next morning. This unknown singer’s song had gone viral and a star was born.

From that point onwards, she has continued to grow her fanbase with a different take on pop music. And she’s only a teenager!

Currently, the media wants to know. Why is 30 year old star Drake texting Billie Eilish, who is more or less a minor?

History Repeating Itself

When she was 17, the singer of the popular song “Bad Guy,” shared at a Vanity Fair that Drake and she had been texting each other. Of course, this wasn’t the first time an underage girl shared she was exchanging texts with the Life is Good artist.

Fans and journalists were all troubled when Millie Bobby Brown, star of the famous show Stranger Things, expressed that Drake and she were texting each other.

The then 14-year-old Brown told the interviewer at a red carpet about her relationship with Drake, and she said:

“He is honestly so fantastic. A great friend and a great role model.” She further added, “We just texted each other the other day, and he was like, ‘I miss you so much,’ and I was like, ‘I miss you more.'”

Everyone started questioning why Drake would text an underage girl. This is what they had to say:

Billie Eilish, who is now 18, spoke over the issue in a Vogue interview. She called out people for assuming the worst and acting holier than thou. The star, who is known to be unapologetically herself, said

“The internet is such a stupid mess right now, everybody’s so sensitive. A grown man can’t be a fan of an artist? There are so many people that the internet should be more worried about.”
