According to an official from HKC Entertainment, the local distributor of the film, Tenet will not be able to meet the international release date in Pakistan. This is mainly due to the current conditions of the country in fighting the coronavirus pandemic.
The official had this to say:
“We were importing Tenet, but due to closure of cinemas, we postponed our decision. However, we will think of importing it again after cinemas reopen. First, we will have to see the situation of the cinema market after it reopens though.”
However, there is some hope as Chairman Pakistan Film Distribution Association, Chaudhry Ejaz Kamran stated that the distributors are still looking forward to acquiring the film somewhere, and fans can expect a September release of the highly anticipated Christopher Nolan thriller.
